Budget:$500-1K USD Need a PC for RS Multi-Botting/Gaming/Audio Production Compatible? Also, portability is a big plus since I'm a college student
I currently own a Macbook Pro from 2012... it does the job but it's a mac and I want to own a PC for the compatabilities they have. I just turned 21 and saved up quite a bit of money for this.
What will you be doing with this PC?
Listed in priority -For school work/social media/watching netflix/reddit -Playing video games such as LoL/Hearthstone/Runescape. Which do not require much power at all, however I want to be able to play the games that I cannot too.. such as the Witcher 3 which I really want to try. Or many of the steam games. In high definition without overheating/lagging. -Portability. I was looking into gaming laptops, but many people suggest that building an actual PC is a lot more practical in the sense that it's much less expensive and also you get more bang for your buck. But if I can have a PC that I can move around occasionally (I am a college student on break), not some giant thing I have to drag around, that is always a plus. I do want a nice monitor and stuff however. Perhaps I could use one bigger one at home and a smaller one when I go to uni? -I would like to run multiple bots on a game called runescape using a program, and I am guessing this will take up a lot of power. I am looking at this for profit reasons. I would like to run 5-7 bots probably. -I will be playing around with music production programs like fruity loops and Logic X (I currently do on my mac) -Bitcoin mining: I will be mining bitcoins extremely slowly, however my main source of income will be from selling gold I hope from my botting on runescape accounts. Do not hate me lol. I recently got banned on my old school account for macroing its a long story and I want to come back with a vengeance. I am talking about old school runescape by the way.
What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes? 1000 dollars or less. When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Note: beyond a week or two from today means any build you receive will be out of date when you want to buy.
As soon as possible
What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (ToweOS/monitokeyboard/mouse/etc)
Everything except the mousepad which I have :p
Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?
If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.
All of them
Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?
Yes for the botting
Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)
Make it look slick and pretty :p
Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-towefull-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?
Mid-tower, Jet black/Lightning blue, LED lighting would be nice but not necessary.
Do you need a copy of Windows 7 or 8.1 included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference for one or the other?
Yes I do. Uh I hear windows 7 is better but I am not familiar... but windows 7 would be good If someone can really help me pull off a good build I will tip what I can for helping me out. I am totally clueless on this and really appreciate if someone could take the time to find the correct build for me. Thank you so much
Another Bitcoin mining software that we just tested is called the Cudo Miner. While still in beta, it’s really easy to setup and configure, and all you need is a PC and an email address. What’s most beautiful about this app is that it comes for Windows, Linux and Mac, and we all know how hard ⬇️⬇️
Hi, I'm just getting into this. Been wanting to get into Bitcoin for awhile and finally doing so. I've got NiceHash Miner going on my PC (Nvidia GTX 1070) and want to have it going on my MacBook Pro (late 2013 13") as well. Since I'm at work most of the day, I might as well have my computers doing stuff for me. Is there an app similar to NiceHash that lets me plug in the wallet I want the money to go to available for macOS?
Ball park estimates: If all the world's computational power, sans bitcoin ASICS, started mining....what would be the approx hashrate? (eg: mobile phones, PCs, gaming PCs, macs, consoles, super computers, IoT toasters... anything)
I mined 100+ btc back in 2009. Wanted to buy something off eBay, tried to find out if they were worth 1cent a pop to sell and get something for a dollar. They weren’t. So I just forgot about them. I still have the hard drive they were on, the problem is that the hard drive was reformatted back in may of 2009. People tell me that I still have a chance to access them are recover them, I’m just not PC literate like I used to be and don’t want to mess it up. It’s and old Mac drive that was running on whatever OS was before snow leopard. The key was saved in a text file somewhere on the drive. What are my best options for recovery? I don’t want to get some random off Craigslist to do this. I need professionals, honest people that won’t just steal the btc if they find them. It’s a life changing amount of money, and the longer I wait the more likely that old hard drive will fail or die. Last time hard drive was used was in 2013. I’ve been homeless several times over the last decade and surely would have sold them at at some point over the years. I’m in a more stable spot now but still very poor. 100 btc would totally change my life and allow me to follow my dreams and stop working min wage hell jobs.
